Due to the COVID 19 pandemic there have been some changes to the way care is delivered by Dr Morrison. In addition to in person consultations, telehealth consultations are available for follow up appointments (new patients are seen face to face). A medical referral is still needed to allow for medicare billing. Out of pocket charges apply as this is a private clinic.
To attend an in person consultation, there are limitations in place. Ideally only the patient and one caregiver attend, however this is flexible due to needs of the patient's family. There is a pre visit screening process regarding risk factors for COVID 19. In addition, on arrival you will be asked to wash your hands, wear a face mask and may have your temperature taken. The appointment scheduling has been modified to minimise the time patients spend in the waiting room.
Please reschedule your appointment if you or your child is unwell.
Currently there are no government restrictions on access to elective surgery. Prior to surgery patients (and parent if staying overnight) require to have a neg covid test (RAT or PCR) within 72 hours prior of surgery. If your child has had covid, it is recommend to delay elective surgery atleast 4 weeks after symptoms resolve.
June 22 : Due to the community spread of common viruses, Influenza and COVID 19, there frequently are cancellations of appointments. If you would like to be placed on the cancellation list, please let reception know if you are available at short notice.
July 22 : There is currently a severe shortage of staff in the hospitals (at every level). This is resulting in limited access to surgery. Surgical operating lists are not restricted by Government mandates, however there may be late changes as a result of staff shortage.
